Shelby County Federal Credit Union’s Name Change Reflects Growth, Leadership Expansion, and Strategic Transformation
 
Shelby County Federal Credit Union has officially rebranded as SecurCommunity Federal Credit Union, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s evolution and regional growth strategy.

The new name reflects the credit union’s expansion into DeSoto County, Mississippi, and signals a broader vision centered on innovation, strengthened leadership, and enhanced financial solutions for the members and communities it serves.

“This is a defining moment for our organization,” said Raffael Crockett, Chief Executive Officer. “Over the past 18 months, we have intentionally positioned the credit union for long-term success. Our new name represents expanded reach, stronger capabilities, and a clear commitment to the future.”

As part of this transformation, the organization has installed a new executive leadership team, including:

  • Kyle Latham, Vice President of Human Resources
  • Eric Raymond, Chief Financial Officer
  • John Stafford, Vice President of Information Technology
This leadership team is guiding strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, technology modernization, and sustainable growth.

In addition, SecurCommunity Federal Credit Union is currently transitioning to a new core processing system. This significant technology upgrade will enable the organization to introduce expanded product offerings, enhanced digital banking capabilities, and improved service delivery in the coming months.

The rebrand helps SecurCommunity Federal Credit Union reach a broader regional membership base and strengthen its role as a trusted financial partner in Shelby and DeSoto counties.

What Members Need to Know:

YOUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE NOT AFFECTED

Your cards, checks and accounts that have the Shelby County Federal Credit Union name are still valid.  Products with SecurCommunity Federal Credit Union be issued on new cards and checks.

REBRANDING IS STILL IN PROGRESS

We are in the process of updating branch signs, forms, and other assets to reflect the new name.  Anything that bears the name Shelby County Federal Credit Union is SecurCommunity Federal Credit Union.

NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE COMING

Your SecurCommunity FCU staff is working hard to bring you new and updated online services and products to make banking with us more accessible and convenient.  More details will be announced in the coming months.
